MATCHBOX Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Summary

MATCHBOX does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your photos stay on your device.

What data does MATCHBOX access?

Camera: MATCHBOX requires camera access to take photos. Photos are captured and stored locally on your device within the app’s private storage. They are never uploaded to any server.

Photo Library: When you save or share an exported video, MATCHBOX requests permission to save to your Camera Roll. This is a one-way save — MATCHBOX does not read or access your existing photo library.

What data does MATCHBOX collect?

None. MATCHBOX does not collect analytics, usage data, location data, or any personal information. There are no user accounts, no login, and no registration.

Third-party services

MATCHBOX uses Apple’s StoreKit framework to process the optional one-time Pro upgrade purchase. This transaction is handled entirely by Apple. MATCHBOX does not receive or store any payment information. See Apple’s privacy policy for details on how Apple handles purchases.

No other third-party services, SDKs, or analytics tools are used.

Data storage

All photos and project data are stored locally on your device in the app’s sandboxed storage. This data is not accessible to other apps and is removed when you delete MATCHBOX.

Children’s privacy

MATCHBOX does not collect data from anyone, including children. The app contains no advertising, no social features, and no user-generated content sharing.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date. Material changes will be noted in the app’s update notes.
